Tension is the word that hits you in the corners of your head when you listen to L’Antidote, a
trio composed of Alabanese cellist Redi Hasa, Lebanese pianist Rami Khalife, and Iranian
percussionist Bijan Chemirani. Lyricism what the compositions of these musicians suggest,
children of art, but musicians by vocation and instinct rather than by direct bloodline. Three
edgy stories, made up of half-hearted farewells and returns, which intertwined between a
study in the Pisa area and Salento, each revealing its own version of events. Misdeeds too.
The ones that their existence poisoned by patriotic conflicts has placed on his plate. On the
other plate, the vinyl one now turns the antidote, a cure that soothes. Notes suggesting
conflict resolution on the staff. From the soil of their sonic orchard grows a groove that tastes
of pomegranate, muezzin and succulents. Chamber suites that forge a new language,
unknown to ordinary search engines, and lend their hand to the most swirling melodies of
world music.

Line up:
Rami Khalifé: piano
Redi Hasa: cello
Bijan Chemirani: zarb, percussions
