Nel 2017 hanno vinto il premio Best New Alternative Rock Artist of the Year di iHeart Radio Music e quello per Single of the Year di JUNO, per cui erano in sfida contro Drake, The Weeknd e Shawn Mendes. I loro lavori precedenti sono stati molto acclamati dalla critica, The New York Times ha scritto “The Strumbellas hanno alle spalle una storia che viene perfettamente rappresentata dal titolo dell’album, Hope”, mentre Forbes ha affermato “The Strumbellas non stanno conquistando solo l’America, ma tutto il mondo”.
